Ooni Of Ife Calls For Collaborations On Security Matters





Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Eniitan Ogunwusi has urged all and sundry to collaborate togethert in combating insecurity menace bedevilling the nation,  saying the security job is the job of all.


Oba Adeyeye stated this while receiving the members of Community Security Awareness Initiative  Corp (COMSAIC)  in his palace on Sunday.


According to him,  security matter should be treated as an important issue which all must contributes his or her quotas in making sure Criminal activities is being curtailed in our society.


Ooni Adeyeye eulogised COMSAIC for their effort in combating crime at the grassroots level saying their efforts was noticed and that as a traditional ruler,  he will join hands with the group in fighting Criminal activities in the society.


He urged the group not to relent in their oars but double up their efforts in making sure that our society is free of criminal activities.


The traditional ruler who was honoured as the life patron of the group used the medium to appeal to the government to as a matter of urgency do something on community policing as this will help the country in fighting insecurity.


Earlier in his opening speech,  the Commandant General of the corp, Mr. Olabamiji Ayeni said the corp decided to choose Ooni Adeyeye as their life patron because of his immense contributions to the community Security outfit most especially his efforts in developing youth through various job opportunities.


Olabamiji said, COMSAIC is a group formulated to assist the police and other security personnel in combating crime.


He said,  since it's established 4 years ago,  the group have been waxing stronger and extending tentacles across the nation.


The CG, however urged the people of the country to join hands with all community Security outfits in chasing away crime at the grassroot level.
