Some cheering news for the youths as President Buhari will today sign the Not Too Young to Run bill. The bill when signed into law, will lower the age limit for those seeking political office in a country. Nigeria’s 1999 constitution stipulates that the president has to be at least 40, while senators and state governors have to be aged 35 or above. The bill, however, reduces the minimum age for presidential candidates from 40 to 35, and state governors and senators from 35 to 30. The age limit for state assembly will be 25. A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in Osun, Barr Kunle Adegoke(K-rad) has presented his manifesto to the leadership of the party, describing it as "solution to the clog in the wheel of good governance" in the state. Barrister Kunle Adegoke, who arrived the party secretariat located along Gbongan/Ibadan road on Thursday with hundreds of his loyalists and supporters saying he was determined to succeed Governor Rauf Aregbesola by winning the September 22nd gubernatorial election. He expressed readiness to continue from where Aregbesola would stop, saying decision to contest for the number one seat is because of the passion he has which is to give back to the people of his state. K-rad said, "I have taken my time to put up this manifesto and he took me not not less than six months before I could finish it. "In the manifesto is the solution to all what it perceived to be a clog in the wheel of good governance."

APC governorship candidate in Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi, has caused a stir online following the announcement of whom he picked for his running mate.  According to reports, Fayemi picked 74-year-old Adebisi Egbeyemi (pictured above), who happens to be the former chairman of Ado-Ekiti local government area, as his running mate in the July 14th state governorship election. Fayemi made this known via a statement released by his campaign office which read in part; “After a long search for the candidate, Egbeyemi was picked as the candidate this evening after party leaders met for long hours to consider who is best suited to pair with former governor and immediate past minister of mines an steel development, Dr Kayode Fayemi, to fly the party’s flag in the governorship contest,”. via Sandra Spicy

With 15 days to go until AKA releases his new album, Touch My Blood, the musician is certainly getting hype. On Tuesday he released a song in collaboration with Reebok and said it was just a taste of what was to come. Then on Wednesday night a video of AKA dropping bars went viral on social media. “Waited two years just to see you with your weave off… What that say about your character, you was f**king me while I was paying damages,” AKA raps in the video. Mzansi was shook and immediately fans went into squad mode, defending either AKA or his ex, Bonang. Although AKA has remained largely mum on their split, after the video was released, fans are anticipating a lot more to come. Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh recently visited the Suleja Prison in Niger state. The actress, who shared photos from her visit on her Instagram page, used the visit as an opportunity to donate money as well as relief items to the prison wards and inmates. She already has sons Julian, 34, Killian, 28, Douglas, 25, and Raoul, 23.
