Mr. Nwiziogo Nkwegu of Obegu Village in the Ozibo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has abandoned his wife, Ukamaka, after she gave birth to triplets.
35-year-old Ukamaka, Nkwegu’s third wife, gave birth to the babies at a traditional maternity home in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, three weeks ago.
Southern City News gathered she had to give birth at the traditional home due to her husband's inability to pay for a proper hospital.
Ukamaka, who has three before the arrival of the extra 3 kids, does menial jobs to cater for her kids and herself.
Sinc e the arrival of the kids, Ukamaka, has resorted to begging as her husband has disapperared and no longer picks his calls.
