Fernando Torres Set To Sign For J League Side Sagan Tosu

Fernando Torres looks set to find down his career at Japanese side Sagan Tosu.

The J.League appear to have accidentally published an article announcing that the Spanish striker, 34, was joining.

The ex-Chelsea and Liverpool striker is leaving boyhood club Atletico Madrid and has been linked with a move to the MLS with Chicago Fire.

But Sagan Tosu seem to have won the race, with Marca reporting Torres has been offered a £3.5million-a-year deal – worth around £67,000 a week.

Torres could become the second Spanish World Cup winner to move to Japan’s top flight, after Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta joined Vissel Kobe.
