A governorship aspirant under the platform of the ruling all Progressives Congress, Dr. Ismail Abiodun Saka Layounu has felicitated with Christians on this year's Easter celebration.
Layonu, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria urged followers to keep maintaining peace and also use the occasion of the resurrection of Jesus Christ to pray for Nigeria.
In a statement issued on Sunday, he described Easter as a great festival for believers of Jesus Christ saying that since Christ lived a peaceful life, his followers should emulate him.
"I want to felicitate with Christians all over Nigeria especially in our dear state, Osun. Easter is one of the religious celebrations that Christians hold dearly and observe faithfully. I therefore urge our people to further allow peace to reign in our state and Nigeria at large.
" I pray that the joy which the Easter Season brings will stay with us forever and our state will experience a better turnaround. Happy Easter to you all," Layonu prayed.
