Nollywood actress, Stephnora Okeke, who was quite famous in the early 90’s has mentioned that he is not in the same league with the likes of Omotola and Genevieve.
Stephnora Okoke was asked in an interview about her opinion on the general notion that Nollywood actresses Omotola Jalade and Genevive Nnaji are her contemporaries in the industry. She responded saying she had become popular before the duo gained their entry into the industry. She mentioned the likes of Liz Benson, Eucharia Anunobi, Susan Patrick and Alex Lopez as the set of actresses that could be considered as her mates in the industry:
In her words:
“I had already cut my teeth in the industry way before they came in. but while in the industry we did some jobs together. I started acting with the likes of Sandra Achums, Eucharia Anunobi, Liz Benson, Alex Lopez and Susan Patrick and a host of others.”
Stephnora Okoke started her acting career immediately after her compulsory National Youth Service Corps program in 1995 and she became quite popular in the industry at that time. She became a household name in the early 2000s, but not much have been heard of her in recent times.
Her shot to limelight began when she featured in a Kenneth Nebu’s movie ‘blood of the orphan’. She then went further to star in so many movies and TV series.
