Qatari prince sued for allegedly raping, harassing nanny

A former nanny for a Qatari royal family living in Manhattan claims the prince raped and sexually harassed her in a new lawsuit.

Australian native Charlie M. McKenna claims in the Manhattan Supreme Court suit that Saoud al Thani started hitting on her in 2014, sending her explicit text messages including one with a an emoji of a kiss.
She rebuffed his advances, then in January 2016 on a trip to Doha she returned to hotel room to find the prince “completely naked, lying on her bed,” and he forced himself on her, the suit says.

McKenna discreetly snapped a photo of the compromised royal before he forced himself on her, according to court papers.

She told her mom and her doctor about the assault, but did not report it to anyone in Doha because she “did not feel safe,” the suit says.

She also continued working for the family, including after al Thani allegedly messaged her a picture of his erect penis and tried to follow her into the shower.

She was fired earlier this month after turning down requests to travel to Doha with the family.
