Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I has expressed his willingness to support an interested indigene of Iwo to emerge governor of Osun State in 2018.
Oba Akanbi gave this indication in an exclusive chat with Amiloaded on Saturday, at the Wedding ceremony of Yusuff Mutalab, the convener of 'Arise and Impact Nigerian Youths' in Iwo.
The monarch who lamented the town's inability to produce a governor for the state since its creation, expressed his readiness to give any indigenous aspirant the full support of a father in order to achieve the age long goal.
According to the youthful Monarch: ''I am ready to become the father of the next governor, irrespective of party or religious affiliation of such person, Iwo has never done it before but we are ready now.''
