African Deadline Day Watch: Watford Fail To Ship Out Isaac Success; Aurier Joins Spurs

Serge Aurier Joins Tottenham
Tottenham have completed the signing of Paris St-Germain defender Serge Aurier for a fee in the region of £23m.

The Ivory Coast right-back, 24, has signed a five-year contract until 2022.

"This is a fresh start for me. I am determined to prove myself as a professional both on and off the pitch," said Aurier.

"The fans are the most important people at any club and I am looking forward to showing them and everyone at Spurs the real Serge Aurier."

He is a direct replacement for Kyle Walker, who was sold to Man City.

Wilfred Bony Returns To Swansea
Ivory Coast International Wilfried Bony has returned to Swansea on a two-year deal.

Bony left south Wales for Manchester for £25m in January 2015 and his return coincides with Fernando Llorente's move to Tottenham.

The fee for Bony is thought to be £12m. The Ivorian's two-year contract has an option for a further season.

Papy Djilobodji and Wahbi Khazri Leave Black Cats
Sunderland have loaned defender Papy Djilobodji to French top-flight club Dijon for the 2017-18 season.

Tunisian midfielder Wahbi Khazri, 26, has joined Rennes on loan, also for the rest of the season.

Djilobodji, 28, played 23 games last season as the Black Cats were relegated from the Premier League.

The Senegal defender, who cost the Wearsiders £8m when he moved from Chelsea last August, made just one EFL Cup appearance this season.

Isaac Success To Stay Put
Super Eagles winger Isaac Success would be staying put at Vicarage Road after Watford were unable to conclude deals with other clubs.

The Hornets had shortlisted the player for those who would be seeing the exit sign and had loan-listed the player.

Sheffield Wednesday, Hull City, and EPL new boys Brighton were all interested in the player but were unable to come to an agreement on the player's transfer.
