ome notorious armed robbers have reportedly met their untimely death after invading a man’s house in Sanco Lane to Okpobrusi area of Delta state to rob.
According to Sapele Oghenek, the incident happened in the early hours of Monday morning. It was gathered that the armed robbers had successfully robbed three houses when they entered the last house belonging to a driver.
However, luck ran out on them after the driver used a wood to attack the first robber to enter his house forcing the gun to fall on the floor. The driver rushed and picked the gun before pointing it at the robbers. While some ran away, he got hold of one until the police came.
However, it is not clear whether it was the man or the police that killed the robber.
An eyewitness further added that when police arrived the area, they caught another criminal wearing white ‘agbada’. He was shot after a search revealed he was hiding gun in his cloth. It was alleged that the police rushed and buried the corpses.
Many people have called on the police to stop rushing to bury criminals when they are caught. According to Oghenek, the police are fond of rushing to bury victims suspected to be innocent in order not to be found out.
